DIY Book Scanner (Do It Yourself Book Scanner) é um kit que faz o aproveitamento de câmeras digitais em um digitalizador de livros adequado para materiais frágeis, consideravelmente mais barato que máquinas dedicadas vendidas para tal fim. O Internet Archive digitaliza seus livros dessa forma.

This $300 book-scanning machine is somewhat similar to the Scribe machine used by Archive.org, which also uses open source software for processing book images.
